Out of the desire to be a fully employed family farm, Daniel and Jeena, founded Hughes Trading Company, Inc. in 1989.  Over the years our main crops have been corn, soybeans, and edible beans.

In the beginning we not only farmed, we also sold seed and served as an edible bean buying station.  In 2000, Daniel and Jeena, purchased Munson seed in nearby Benson.  After two years of restructuring and clean-up Stony Ridge Foods was born.

Today our main focus is on land productivity and crop production but we still serve as a buying station for Stony Ridge Foods.
